What is EMS?
EMS – electromagnetic stimulation – works the muscle through impulses, without your having to move.
The session is short and very targeted: one area is chosen, and the work concentrates there.
How a session unfolds
Thirty minutes.
- The first time, an assessment comes before the session: together we choose the area to work on.
- You settle in, and the practitioner places the applicator on the area.
- The intensity rises gradually. You feel the contractions, never pain.
- The session lasts thirty minutes, during which you stay lying down.
On which areas
- Stomach and abdominal belt
- Buttocks
- Thighs
- Arms
What this treatment aims for
- Muscle work, without an exercise session.
- The tone of one specific area.
- A complement to the rest of a protocol.
EMS makes it possible to work the muscles differently, in a short and very targeted session. It is particularly worthwhile for people who want to work on their muscles without having to do a conventional exercise session.
This treatment, or another?
Our treatments work the body in very different ways. Here is where EMS sits.
| Treatment | The technique | What it works on | Choose it if |
|---|---|---|---|
| EMS | Electromagnetic impulses | The muscle, without movement | You are looking for targeted muscle work |
| Indiba radiofrequency | 448 kHz radiofrequency | The tissues deep down, through internal heat | You are aiming for firmness and the appearance of the skin |
| Japanese sauna (Vital Dôme) | Infrared heat, no contact | The whole body, through perspiration | You want to work the whole body while relaxing |
Effects, precautions and contraindications
You feel the muscle contractions. The intensity rises gradually and can be adjusted at any time.
